I prefer to think of flash video as a default standart for internet video. Many people have it and it works on different platforms (though they still have 7 version for Linux, which is sad). Flash is a very good thing, it even supports connections to xml servers for example that maybe written on php, this is a good thing too, in case I'll want to use it for my chat (which is in develoment currently). that’s a good sign.
