@Matt
The problem with the track info displaying is that I haven't tried. I've been busy and it's something I would like as-well. So when time allows I'll try. If anything happens I'll announce it.

Hi Ferny,

I really appreciate the work you've done on this, and am a very happy listener.
Please do let us know if there is a way to display track info, although I can appreciate this isn't easy!

Many thanks,

Hi FernyB
You have done an excellent job in creating this tool - Thanks a lot.
Like Mark I would love to see the Artist and Track name on the display.

Great work, thanks

Hi Ferny,

I enjoy using Lastbridge. Great idea!
One little thing I miss: Isn't it possible to display the artist and trackname in the Soundbridge?

Kind regards

Hi Ferny,

First of all, thanks for this project. I'm a long-time user of both the SB and for some time now last.fm as well.

Like others, I have been having some difficulty... The problems start at the stage where I wish to simply play the Playlist URL defined in LastBridge from iTunes.

I have tried "Open Stream" with the URL from LastBridge, but nothing happens in iTunes. I don't even get an error message!

Any suggestions/tips are appreciated!

I have Last Fm streaming music from my library to a Reciva Radio and it is fantastic. Thanks so much for this.
However, the same 20-30 tracks are played over and over. Even though I might have 20 songs from a particualar artist the same one or two tracks are always played.
How do I get it to randomly select songs from the whole library thus creating a real jukebox of music

I'm having the same problem. iTunes will open the playlist.pls URL, the SoundBridge will not. The actual last.mp3 stream URL from the .pls will play on the SoundBridge as a preset (but only until my sessionID expires!)

If I had to guess I'd say it's because the latest firmware for the SB doesn't like .pls files? I had to update it for iTunes 7.7 compatibility

Thanks, but soundbridge still doesn't work with the link I copied. iTunes remaines silent too. The connection of Lastbridge with Last FM seems to be ok, the recent tracks are listed correct. Last FM functions without problems. Any more suggestions ?

Fred,
Try it the following steps:
1. Click on the station you want to play. Add/Edit Station > Station Name
2. Right Click on the link "Playlist" and copy the URL
3. Paste it into the Soundbridge.

Or
Save the file to your desktop and try using iTunes to play the file. If it works then it should work on the soundbridge. A Side note: sometimes the stream is not available and that has to do with last.fm, sometimes they have down times.

hope this helps.

Hallo Ferny,

Your concept of lastbridge is fantastic ! However, there's a problem getting it to work. I followed the steps you showed in the movie and copied the URL
http://www.lastbridge.net/user/playlist.pls?stream=db2bfe79cbeaa2daaa07119034d059f7
to my soundbridge. Everything works as in your movie, but soundbridge doesn't play ... is there a solution ?

Thanks,

Fred
