I got it to work when I reeentered the credentials.
I'm not a paying subscriber.

Nice that I now can listen to Last FM on my Soundbridge. I can also skip to the next song from the Soundbrige by reselecting the preset station.

@r2 which statation are you trying to listen to?
1. if you are trying to listening to any of the Paid stations like Personal it will not work.
2. If you are not a paying subscriber to Last.fm then only some stations will work. I think it's only personal station that is paid I think.. Try listening to other tracks like tagged radio stations.

Yes I have entered them, otherwise I wouldn't see my recently played tracks, so I am logged in all right. I can also see that if I listen to some more tracks in LastFm and then do an update of the lastbridge page, the latest track is shown. The link looks like this: http://www.lastbridge.net/user/playlist.pls?stream=5fd4d9effb9197a1e34bf85482971de1 and when I open it in WordPad I get:
[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=no such user
Title1=LastFM Radio [LastFM]
Length1=-1
Version=2

@r2 Have you entered your Last fm credentials? You will need to that for it to log you in and retrieve your personal station, friends and last fm offers you priority streaming if you are a pay subscriber. Also Your problem, well I was not able to replicate it but I think that happens because you have not entered your correct credentials.

Now I've tried to get lastbridge to work, but the playlist just contains this text:
[playlist]
numberofentries=1
File1=no such user
Title1=LastFM Radio [LastFM]
Length1=-1
Version=2

I can see my Recent tracks, but the playlist doesn't work.

Any idea.

What i do is

1/ login lastbridge and create a link to last.fm

2/ copy that link to my 5 soundbridges

3/ get last.fm played on SBs - fine.

4/ If i want to change my last.fm "program" i go to their website or use their software or start TheLastRipper ... and thus i get the program changed for all my SBs by choosing another radio.

5/ What i would like to do is create not only one but 2 (or even more) connections by lastbridge to different accounts on last.fm and thus getting more than 1 preset-stations on the SBs - until now i don't get that working in lastbridge!

So my question is: Is this possible in LastBridge?

I had the same problem as reported earlier:
the personal-link wouldn't work although i could see the tracks last played.

The solution offered in #12 helped me:
i had to reenter my name and password (regarding last.fm) ... and then everything worked fine!

Great work - thanx!

I had no data on last.fm for a long time (more than a year), so that is probably why. Priming the pump now.

well it could be that, though I am not sure. I have only experienced that once and I couldn't duplicate it.. Try playing a tagged station. Maybe that will work.

Cool project! I watched your screencast, and got a playlist URL of http://87.117.229.85/last.mp3?Session=9fcbb5ae3b8bc3e080f1d3ffd60cc0b9

This doesn't play, and the contents are "HTTP/1.0 667 Not enough content left to play this station".

I'm not a pay subscriber @last.fm, is that why this is breaking?

Thanks for the reply. I'm not quite sure what was going on, but I ended up re-entering my last.fm username and password and then grabbing the playlist again - this time it seems much better (in other words it actually has a valid "file" in it).

Not sure what was happening last night as I was still seeing my recent tracks on the lastbridge main page (which made me think you must have got my user ID/pw correct).

Anyway, hopefully all is working well now (I can't actually tell as I'm at work so don't have access to the Streambridge or VLC).

Cheers!

Ed, everything is working properly. Just make sure you have entered your username/password and click on the station you want to listen to. Or just watch the screencast.
