Music.Yahoo now using Flash video
So I was over at music.yahoo.com and I was browsing the site so I search for Acceptance, a band I like, and I clicked on the video to try and watch it to see what would happen. I was surprise to find out that now mac users can watch music videos over at yahoo. Since they show them to you “Youtube Style” in other words in flash video. I then checked the uk.launch.yahoo.com & ca.music.yahoo.com and it seems yahoo has not yet change things on those sites. So if yahoo changes to all flash video does that mean phpLYFOX & LyFOX are doomed? Now maybe there is a way to download those flash videos from yahoo and transcode them into .mp4.

that’s a good sign. I prefer to think of flash video as a default standart for internet video. Many people have it and it works on different platforms (though they still have 7 version for Linux, which is sad). Flash is a very good thing, it even supports connections to xml servers for example that maybe written on php, this is a good thing too, in case I’ll want to use it for my chat (which is in develoment currently).

But, do you think that the quality of a flash video is as good as a wmv say.
I still prefer the 700kbs wmv to flash.

yo just get urlsnooper2 and hidownload and that’s it!!!

The problem is that I don’t own any computers that run Windows and I don’t have plans to either. So urlsnooper2 & hidownload and useless to me. So that is why I need to come up with a solution.

umm maybe the quality of wmv is better, but then I would prefer something compatible with quick time, but anyway I think that flash is much a better way. What’s the point of having videos in wmv, when it may be available only for windows users?!

Hello. For about 1 week Lyfox seems not to respond anymore ..i mean , it founds the video but the mms link doesn`t show up.

psykid is right. i can’t download any videos. please help ASAP, cuz i now have to download these vidz from cheap sites
